Food Trucks Coming to the Fall Festival

The newest craze of vendors selling food from trucks will arrive at this year's 40th Annual Fall Festival in September.

At least ten vendors that are part of the Fremont based "Food Truck Mafia" will occupy the Redwood Road California Highway Patrol parking lot offering a wide variety of foods.

"We want to make the chamber and festival more appealing and popular by having the food trucks," explained Mel Speed who is one of the many event organizers.

Speed says one of the main comments heard about last years festival is people were interested in better quality food being offered at the event.

Among the trucks scheduled for the festival are: "Grillaz Gone Wild" truck serving cheesesteak sandwiches and hoagies, "Kinder's BBQ Truck" and "My Shrimp Shack" that will serve Asian Fusion Hawaiian food.

"With this being our fortieth year we are trying to do something exciting and different," explained fellow organizer Bebe Duarte.
